My beautiful mother passed away Sunday 11/4/2021 at 728pm surrounded by her children and grandchildren. A call was made to Brember family funeral services to advise them of my mother’s passing.

I was greeted by 2 staff members from Brember who advised me what the process was in transferring mum from her room to Brember site. I was invited to assist in the process if I wanted to or just be present. The staff members were absolutely caring and supportive they also allowed my children the time they needed to process everything and my son assisted with guiding the trolley to their vehicle.

The whole arranging of a funeral service seemed so overwhelming however the process was done with a lot of care and respect. So many of my extended family and friends said the service was really beautiful and I have Chris, Jamie and staff from Brember family funeral services to thank.

Chris and the team at Brember Funerals were exceptional when we lost my dear Nan mid August during the middle of lockdown. They were respectful, kind, helpful and walked my sister and I through the whole process. We had live streaming added due to restrictions on attendees and the celebrant Bob Cooper they recommended was excellent. We have had nothing but compliments on the beautiful service. We couldn’t have asked for a better team of people to give our nan the send off age deserved. Thank you Chris.

I would like to share my personal experience with Chris and Cherie at Brember Family Funerals. From the start to the completion of the funeral service arranged for my dearly departed brother, I can only sum up our experience with them as exceptional, very caring and handled very professionally every single step of arranging what our family requested.

With the loss of a loved one, we had to call a few funeral service providers to see what was offered and to get an idea on cost. As my other siblings are both quite old, we knew we wanted a funeral service close to where they lived in Werribee, so they could easily attend and we wanted a proper church service. After calling a few funeral providers, we found they were not able to meet our requirements and found they were not willing to go further to look into our requests. I was extremely lucky to find Brember Family Funerals on Google and even through they were far away, across the city from us I just thought I'd give them a call to see what they had to offer as their website mentioned doing funerals in other areas.

I spoke with Chris, the owner who I immediately found to be very sincere and without hesitation, gave me the assistance I was hoping for, answering every question I had and most of all, could accommodate giving me a personalised service, in my older sibling's suburb of Werribee. He said he had to call a few churches in our area and felt it should be no problem. I gave him some dates and times that suited us and in less than an hour, Cherie, his funeral consultant and arranger sent me an email to confirm they found a church and the date it can be held, with a follow up phone call from Cherie to confirm this in person. From that point on we were able to confirm the service and their total cost was far more competitive than the local funeral providers who also could not provide us with a local service.

Cherie came to meet with us and handled all the funeral arrangements, made many great suggestions that we took on board and just made the whole process stress-free and easy for us during this difficult time.

The service went really well, held in a beautiful church chapel, starting with a 30 minute viewing time, followed by the service. The Reverend conducted the service with sermons, speeches, and reciting the Psalms we had chosen beautifully and we played a tribute presentation of my brother's life.

The lockdown had meant we could only have 10 family members attend but it was still a beautiful send off for our most loved brother. To have Chris the owner, Cherie and some of their staff attended personally to assist with the service and walk my brothers casket to the hearse, made the service that much more special for us. it was a most beautifully arranged service as we had hoped for and a memory we will always treasure.

One last and very important mention is that they will go to any area and provide you with a very personalised service in your suburb. I found this to be quite incredible when none of the other funeral service providers could help me out with this.

Brember Family funerals were amazing. In such a sad time in our lives they made the funeral experience so incredibly easy ( not once but twice 🙁) and everything ran really smoothly. Chris was so very caring and understanding from the first initial phone call. I had called a few different companies prior and had not mentioned this to Chris. He understood the needs of my brother and I from the beginning, and met with us within two hours.

He was very kind, welcoming and talkative when needed. He spoke to my brother, uncle and I and discussed what we wanted to organise for our late father. After our first meeting that went for a couple of hours, we were happy to go with Brember.

We also met Funeral Bob, who was a lovely older gentlemen who was to run the ceremony. He was such a genuine lad, and could imagine our late father having a beer or ten with him.

Out of the entire experience, nothing was left out of the service. We were able to celebrate the life of our dad the only way we knew how, and it could not have been possible without the outstanding and caring service from Brember.
